The days have flown by since Euro 2024 in Germany kicked off on 15 June. The group stage matches are coming to an end and will enter the knockout phase, with one match directly determining the winner's qualification to the next stage.

There have been many interesting stories and moments during Euro 2024. Although there were reports of Serbian and English fans rioting, with Albanian fans allegedly involved, other moments during the tournament were not negative.

Like one of the moments of the pitch invader, who was a child, entered the stadium and took a photo of Portugal's megastar, Cristiano Ronaldo, who welcomed him warmly after Portugal's 3-0 victory over Turkey.

1. Like Father, Like Son

Ianis Hagi, Marcus Thuram, Francisco Conceicao, Daley Blind, and Federico Chiesa, are some examples of children of former top European footballers playing at Euro 2024. So is Kasper Schmeichel, the son of Peter Schmeichel.

Peter interviewed his son directly after Denmark's 1-1 draw against England. "I've been interviewed a lot after the game, but I've never done this. (You, Kasper) played well," said Peter.

After the interview, the Manchester United legend hugged his son 'warmly' and was proud of him. Following his father, Kasper is also a goalkeeper.

2. Friendliness of the Home Fans

Germany are in group A with Scotland who they slaughtered 5-1. The home fans showed their hospitality to the Scottish supporters in Cologne, before Scotland's match against Switzerland (which ended in a 1-1 draw).

A fan stepped out from the balcony and gave a Scottish fan a beer. Uniquely, the Scottish fans, who are known for being friendly and energetic, chanted like they were in a stadium.

3. Journalists' Happy Tears

Georgia is a debutant team at Euro 2024 and they played hard in their two group games, against Turkey (1-3) and Czech Republic (1-1). And in the first moment when Georgia scored against Turkey, from Georges Mikautadze's goal, a journalist cried.

The first international goal at the Euros moved the Georgian journalist to tears in the journalists' area. The moment was captured by X account user @tariqpanja.

4. Small Earthquake in Hamburg

The Netherlands have only won the Euros once, which was way back in 1988. Nevertheless, Der Oranje has always been one of the football nations that has earned the respect of Europe and the world, and has the potential to become a champion this year.

Fans of the Dutch national team (or the national team at the centre of Indonesian supporters' jokes) greatly support the team. In Hamburg, it was noticeable how many Dutch fans wore orange shirts and chanted, jumped, and even 'caused' a small earthquake.

5. Police Dance

The police have extra duties during Euro 2024 with tighter security than a normal football match. However, it is unique and interesting to see them occasionally 'relaxing' and mingling with fans.

It happened when the German police were in the crowd of Albanian fans, then they (there were two policemen, one male and one female) danced together with the Albanian fans. A very peaceful atmosphere between the fans and the police.
