The 2025 UEFA Champions League final will see a classic clash between two European giants as Paris Saint-Germain take on Inter Milan at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany, on Sunday (6 June) at 12:30 am IST.

This will be the first time the two teams have met in the competition, and only the second time in history that a French and an Italian club have faced each other in the final, after Marseille beat AC Milan 1–0 in the 1992–93 season.

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are approaching the match with great ambition. After losing the 2020 final to Bayern Munich, the Parisian team is now aiming to win their first Champions League trophy. This season, Luis Enrique’s team performed inconsistently in the early stages but recovered to win their last three matches and finish 15th in the league.

Although they failed to defend their Scudetto title, which has now been won by Napoli, Inter advanced impressively in the knockout phase, eliminating Feyenoord, Bayern Munich and Barcelona in the process.

Ousmane Dembélé has emerged as Paris Saint-Germain’s star player this season. The winger, once labelled inconsistent and injury-prone, has now become the main attacking force. Under Luis Enrique’s management, Dembélé has also become a productive centre-forward, scoring 33 goals and providing 10 assists in 48 matches. He is now being tipped for the Ballon d’Or.
