Gabon clinched a vital victory.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang shined for Gabon, keeping their hopes alive for the 2026 World Cup. He scored four goals, leading the Panthers to a tough 3-4 win against Gambia on Friday.

Aubameyang put Gabon ahead in the 20th minute after a brilliant play. This win brings Gabon within one point of Côte d’Ivoire, the leaders of Group F, who triumphed over the Seychelles. However, his night took a turn when he was sent off in the 85th minute due to a clash with a Gambian player. Despite this setback, Gabon managed to hold on and earn three important points.
