A deserved victory.
Kenya secured a win against Burundi this Thursday in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, finishing the match 1-0.
After a first half that saw no goals, Kenya found relief in the second half. Despite being down to ten players after their striker Bonfils Caleb was sent off in the fifth minute, the team held strong for a considerable time.
In the 72nd minute, Ryan Ogam from Wolfsberger AC in Austria scored with a well-placed left-footed shot, sealing the victory for Kenya (0-1).
This win places Kenya in third position in Group F with 12 points, while they await the outcome of the Gambia versus Gabon match set for Friday at 1:00 PM GMT.
