Much still needs to be decided.
The 28th FIFA World Cup will start on June 11 in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This tournament will include 48 teams for the first time, but the final list of participants is not yet complete as qualification is still ongoing. Most confederations will get one spot in the intercontinental play-offs to determine two additional World Cup teams. UEFA will not participate in this stage, while CONCACAF can send two teams due to being the host confederation. These important matches are set for March 23-31, 2026.
