Brazilian forward Robson Robinho has signed with Mohun Bagan Super Giant, as announced by the Indian Super League team on Saturday.
Robinho, who has experience in the Brazilian Serie A, comes to MBSG from EC Agua Santa, a club in Sao Paulo’s third division.
At 30 years old, he has spent most of his career in Brazil but gained recognition in South Asian football during his time with Bashundhara Kings.
Robinho won seven trophies with the Bangladeshi team, scoring 64 goals and providing 49 assists in 97 matches.
“I played against Mohun Bagan while with Bashundhara Kings. I knew it was India’s most successful club. I hope to replicate that success here,” said Robinho.
