There were many complaints.

Two days ago, Erik ten Hag was let go from his role as head coach of Bayer, leaving a negative impression in the club.

Details: According to Bild, ten Hag’s work was criticized within Bayer’s offices. Long-time club members had already placed him on the list of the “worst coaches of the last 20 years” even before he officially left.

Specific issues were raised by both players and staff. They pointed out that ten Hag “failed to communicate any ideas,” and that in the dressing room, “no one knew what to do, even with a 3-1 lead.”

The coach himself expressed concerns about the squad’s physical readiness, despite having a complete preseason. He opposed the sale of Granit Xhaka, but the club went ahead and transferred him to Sunderland. Additionally, the move for Lucas Vázquez from Real Madrid happened without his knowledge.

Reminder: Despite his complaints about lacking time or trust, ten Hag received a substantial compensation package from Bayer.
