Ecuador will finish South American World Cup qualifying against Argentina in Guayaquil. As reported by El Comercio, head coach Sebastián Beccacece plans to adjust his squad, with the return of midfielders Moisés Caicedo and Alan Franco likely affecting the final selection.

Both players are expected to rejoin the team and may start, which means younger players like Denil Castillo and Jhon Mercado might not be included. If decisions are made based on positions, Jordy Alcívar could also be left out.

They would join Xavier Arreaga, David Cabezas, Christian Ramírez, Darwin Guagua, and Bryan Ramírez, who were already anticipated to miss the match. Beccacece stated that these choices don’t exclude them from future national team plans, but he prefers experienced and fit players against the reigning world champions.
