Messi shared photos from the match against Venezuela, which happened last night.
“A special evening that still leaves me speechless with emotion. Heartfelt thanks to everyone for your love and constant support. Whatever happens and whatever the future holds, only God knows… Vamos Argentina!” read his post.
It has been reported that this match could be Messi’s farewell appearance for the national team on home ground. He also has not announced whether he will compete in the 2026 World Cup, set for next summer.
Furthermore, it was confirmed that Messi will not play in Argentina’s final qualifying match against Ecuador on September 10.
