Former Celtic defender Bobo Baldé has been taken to an emergency psychiatric unit in Marseille after a concerning incident near a local school.

According to La Provence, Baldé was seen multiple days outside the Ecole Accates la Valentine primary school, which alarmed parents and staff due to his ‘threatening’ and strange remarks about a ‘mission’ he planned to undertake. In one instance, he was hit by a car, and later, a parent struck him in the face.

The former Guinea national team player was questioned by police as a victim. However, he continued to make unclear comments even at the police station. Following these events, he was admitted to the psychiatric ward at Timone Hospital, reportedly in a confused state, discussing his plans and mentioning he ‘had things to do.’
