Di María, now an important player for Central, acknowledged the special challenge of competing against someone he views as family. He stated, “Setting aside what Boca represents and their strong players, playing against Lea, who is like a brother to me, won’t be easy.”

He also shared insights about their friendship. “He means a lot to me and my family. I know he might give me a small nudge, as that’s his style, but whatever happens on the field stays there, and my feelings for him remain the same,” Di María commented with a smile.
