CAS has ruled in favor of the Mexican club.

Past mistakes continue to affect the renowned Brazilian player.

Details: As reported by Planeta de Futebol and ESPN Brasil, the Mexican club Pumas has won a legal case against 42-year-old Brazilian Dani Alves. This follows the termination of his contract after allegations of sexual assault against him.

The compensation is estimated to be around $5 million. Although Alves had previously won an appeal, this time CAS decided in favor of Pumas.

“CAS has ruled in favor of the club, reversing the FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber’s decision from May 15, 2024. The new ruling confirms that the club properly terminated the contract for just cause and mandates Mr. Alves to pay more than the amount established by FIFA for damages and losses inflicted on the organization,” the club stated.
