Details: Boateng announced his retirement from professional football on his social media accounts.

Quote: “Family. Friends. Fans. The time has come,” he said in his video.

During his 10 seasons at Bayern Munich, Boateng made 363 appearances and won 25 trophies, including nine Bundesliga titles and two Champions League wins. He also became a world champion with the German national team in 2014.

His career included stints with Hertha, Hamburg, Manchester City, Lyon, Salernitana, and LASK.
