Manchester United and Chelsea faced off in a lively fifth-round Premier League match that kept fans on their toes.
During the first half at Old Trafford, there were two goals and two red cards. After Robert Sánchez was sent off, Manchester United scored twice. However, right before halftime, the referee issued another red card to balance the teams.
In added time, Casemiro received a second yellow card and had to leave the pitch early. He made history by becoming the first player in Manchester United’s history to score and be sent off in the first half of a Premier League match. This is only the second time such an event has occurred in the league, with the first being Emmanuel Adebayor’s incident for Tottenham against Arsenal in November 2012.
Additionally, Enzo Maresca had to substitute Cole Palmer due to another injury during the match.
