Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham is back on the field after missing the start of the season due to shoulder surgery. He made his return as a substitute in the match against Espanyol.
Bellingham shared his thoughts on his comeback on Instagram, posting photos from the game along with a heartfelt message.
“Missed this and all of you so much. Truly humbled by the love you gave me in the stadium today and the support from everyone throughout my recovery, it means the world to me. Now for more. Hala Madrid!🤍”
Bellingham had surgery on his injured shoulder at the end of last season. This issue had troubled him for several years. Initially, his recovery was expected to last until October, but he returned earlier than anticipated.
He came on in the 89th minute against Espanyol, replacing Kylian Mbappé.
