It is said that the club plans to reach out to Roberto Olabe, the former sporting director of Real Sociedad.
Currently, Aston Villa is working on ending its contract with Monchi immediately, after which discussions with Olabe, who is 57 years old, will begin.
Olabe has experience with clubs like Almería, Real Valladolid, Real Unión, and Real Sociedad.
His contract with Sociedad ended in June, making him a free agent now.
Reminder: Monchi is leaving Aston Villa.
