Nigeria’s Super Eagles have started their training camp at The Ranch Hotel in Polokwane, South Africa, as they prepare for their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Lesotho.
Head coach Eric Chelle and his team arrived on Monday to manage the camp, with 17 players already in attendance. Notable players include Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi, and William Troost-Ekong. The squad also features Terem Moffi, Calvin Bassey, Samuel Chukwueze, Moses Simon, Frank Onyeka, Tolu Arokodare, Semi Ajayi, Stanley Nwabali, Adebayo Adeleye, Bruno Onyemaechi, Amas Obasogie, and Chrisantus Uche.
However, five players—Benjamin Frederick, Zaidu Sanusi, Alhassan Yusuf Abdullahi, Akor Adams, and Olakunle Olusegun—have not yet reported for duty but are expected to join soon.
The team’s first training session will take place at 6 p.m. local time on Tuesday. More players are anticipated to arrive later as the team prepares for the important qualifier.
Nigeria will compete against Lesotho on Friday, October 10, at the Peter Mokaba Stadium, aiming for a strong start in their World Cup qualifying journey.
