The new owner supports his manager.

Manchester United hired Rúben Amorim as head coach last year, but the team’s performance has not improved. There are rumors of a managerial change, and Jim Ratcliffe has addressed the topic.

Details: In an interview with The Business Podcast, Ratcliffe, the owner of Manchester United, was asked about the potential of replacing the head coach. He mentioned that he does not plan to make changes, even if the Glazer family, the other owners, suggests it.

Ratcliffe also shared his thoughts on Rúben Amorim’s performance over the last season. He believes Amorim needs time to demonstrate that he can be an excellent manager.

Quote: “Amorim didn’t have the best season. Rúben needs three years to show that he’s a great coach. That’s my perspective. You can’t manage a club like United by making rash decisions based on media reports that change every week,” Ratcliffe said.

Amorim took over from Erik ten Hag, and last season United finished 15th in the league, marking the club’s worst-ever result in Premier League history, and lost in the Europa League final.

Reminder: Harry Maguire’s contract with Manchester United is nearing its end, and the defender has an idea of where to continue his career.
