Ismail Jakobs is missing from the Senegalese national team, raising concerns that have caught the coach’s attention. Currently in Juba preparing for the last two matches of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, Jakobs has not returned, as his club, Galatasaray, is holding him back due to an alleged injury.
During a press conference, coach Pape Thiaw spoke about the situation.
“We all noticed Ismail Jakobs’ absence. The Federation took the necessary step of informing his club. Now we await the outcome,” said Pape Thiaw.
