Barcelona has changed its plans.

Previously a founding member of the European Super League, Barcelona is now looking to join a different group.

Details: According to Diario SPORT, Barcelona president Joan Laporta recently met with PSG chief Nasser Al-Khelaifi. Following their discussions, it was revealed that Barcelona aims to join the European Club Association (ECA).

Quote: “Today I welcome a special guest. Friends may have different opinions, but they unite for a greater cause.

He has revived his club—on the field with a talented young team and off it with a remarkable new stadium.

Please join me in welcoming the president of Barcelona, Joan Laporta, back to the family,” said Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

Currently, Real Madrid and Florentino Pérez are the only original members still engaged in the Super League.

Reminder: It was reported that Florentino Pérez was the first president of the Super League organization, with Juventus coach Andrea Agnelli and Manchester United owner Joel Glazer as vice presidents.
