Competition at OM is intensifying this season. Young player Robinio Vaz is taking full advantage of Amine Gouiri’s injury, gaining playing time and delivering strong performances. This was evident in the match against Havre on Saturday night, where he was on the field for 30 minutes, managing to score and help secure a comprehensive 6-2 victory for his team. The 18-year-old forward received praise from his coach during a press conference ahead of their Champions League match against Sporting CP on Wednesday at 9 PM IST.

“He’s a player we need to handle carefully. He’s very valuable to me and to OM, as he’s part of the club’s heritage. As a coach, I must work for that heritage. I focus on both the present and the future, just like with Bakola,” said De Zerbi. “Robinio is a surprise for everyone; we believe in his qualities, but we didn’t expect him to have such an impact. After the match, we have to protect him. We shouldn’t expect him to do more than what a 17 or 18-year-old should be doing.”
