Victor Osimhen is the only Nigerian player nominated for the CAF Men’s Player of The Year Awards, as reported by Soccernet.ng.
Osimhen has had an impressive season with Galatasaray, making it to the ten-man shortlist. He scored 37 goals and provided eight assists last season, helping his team secure the domestic double.
Notably, last year’s winner, Ademola Lookman, did not make the nominations this year. Lookman had a standout season at Atalanta, winning the award after helping his team clinch the Europa League and finish 4th in Serie A.
