On June 6, El Chadaille Bitshiabu, who left Paris Saint-Germain in 2023 for €15 million, extended his contract with RB Leipzig until 2029. However, the 20-year-old defender has seen limited playtime this season, making only four appearances, including two as a starter.

The German side aims to retain the former Parisian for the second half of the season, with plans for him to succeed his compatriot Castello Lukeba when he leaves.
