Following the defeat against Bayern Munich in the Champions League (1-2), Luis Enrique acknowledged that he had rushed the return of some players from injury. This realization has led him to adjust the final phase of the recovery protocol, according to Le Parisien. The “crash test” stage, where players must train for several consecutive days at a very high intensity without setbacks, will now be extended. Enrique plans to provide more time for players to adapt to collective training sessions to avoid rushing their returns.

For Ousmane Dembélé, who has struggled to find his form in recent weeks, this protocol could be crucial to prevent setbacks and rebuild his confidence, as emphasized by Le Parisien. The recent success of João Neves supports Enrique’s revised approach. However, there’s a challenge: to be part of the squad that faces Tottenham on November 26, Dembélé and Nuno Mendes need to participate in all training sessions this week and play against Le Havre this Saturday in Ligue 1. This scenario seems almost impossible.
