DAZN España shared a video (not accessible in France without a VPN) showing the French striker in a heated exchange with the referee. During the discussion, it appeared that the French captain was complaining about not getting enough stoppage time. Despite an assistant referee’s attempt to calm him down, saying, “Calm down, Kylian,” it did little to soothe his anger. Clearly frustrated, Mbappé headed to the locker room while repeatedly shouting “you idiot!” at the referee, before pushing away an Elche player who approached him.
