Sunderland moved to fourth place in the English Premier League after a thrilling 3-2 victory against Bournemouth. The team made a remarkable comeback at the Stadium of Light to secure a memorable win after being two goals down. Bournemouth initially took a strong lead, looking poised for a win. Ameen Adli scored in the 7th minute off a rebound, and Taylor Adams added a second with a stunning long-range shot from near the halfway line in the 15th minute. However, Sunderland displayed incredible determination to turn the match around. Their comeback started in the 30th minute when Enzo Le Fée scored from a penalty. Soon after the second half began, Bertrand Traoré equalized for Sunderland, converting a pass from Granit Xhaka.

The winning goal came in the 69th minute when substitute Bryan Brobbey scored from a pass by Enzo Le Fée, sealing a well-deserved victory for Sunderland. Bournemouth tried hard for an equalizer in the final moments but failed to score. Their situation worsened when Lewis Cook was sent off with a red card late in the game. In another match, Brentford climbed to eighth place after a 3-1 win over Burnley. In a match that seemed headed for a draw, Brentford took the lead in the 81st minute with a penalty from the in-form Igor Thiago. However, Burnley leveled the score in the 85th minute as Flemming converted a penalty. The tie was short-lived, as Igor Thiago scored his second goal just a moment later to put Brentford back in front. Dango Ouattara then confirmed the win with a final goal in the 93rd minute.
