The Nice public prosecutor’s office announced on Tuesday the launch of an investigation following the violent incidents involving OGC Nice players Jérémie Boga and Terem Moffi. The players were targeted by around 200 ultras as they returned to the training center on November 30, as we exclusively reported on Monday. The two players filed a complaint the next day, stating they were forced to leave the bus and were then subjected to blows, spitting, and insults from individuals, some of whom were masked. They eventually managed to take refuge within the club premises.

The case has been handed to the Nice Juvenile Protection and Justice Service for charges of aggravated violence, participation in a group intending to commit violence or damage, and failure to prevent a crime against personal integrity. The public prosecutor, Damien Martinelli, noted that numerous hearings are already underway. It’s worth mentioning that Terem Moffi and Jérémie Boga have opted not to play for OGC Nice any longer.
