Early goals have been a highlight in the Premier League lately.
The four quickest goals this season have all occurred within a short time frame.
Phil Foden began his impressive run by scoring just 59 seconds into the game against Leeds United in late November.
This was the fastest goal of the season until Malick Thiaw scored a header from a corner against Everton later that evening, making it 55 seconds.
This past Saturday, Hugo Ekitike took the spotlight with a goal just 51 seconds into the match against Brighton at Anfield.
One day later, Mateus Fernandes set a new record for the season, netting a goal only 29 seconds into the game against Aston Villa. However, he didn’t score another goal, and West Ham lost the match.
