Minnesota United FC has signed midfielder Peter Stroud from the New York Red Bulls, trading $475,000 in general allocation money for him.
Stroud, 23, has played in 66 MLS matches (43 starts) for the Red Bulls from 2023 to 2025, where he registered four assists.
“Peter brings important MLS experience and understands the league well, with room for growth,” said MNUFC’s chief soccer officer and sporting director, Khaled El-Ahmad. “We are looking forward to his influence in our midfield, as his energy and potential will be key for the upcoming season.”
Stroud played college soccer at Duke from 2020 to 2022 before signing a homegrown contract with the Red Bulls in 2023.
His older brother, Jared, is also a midfielder with D.C. United.
