Everton is looking for a new striker in 2026, and an experienced option with Premier League experience may be available.

David Moyes is pleased with the team’s performance this season, as Everton is currently well-placed in the top half of the table as Christmas approaches.

However, the team has struggled with scoring goals. Thierno Barry has had a difficult start since his arrival, and Beto’s performance has also not stood out.

Only Nottingham Forest and Wolves have scored fewer goals than Everton this season.

This situation has led Everton to seek a forward in 2026.

CaughtOffside reports that Everton is one of three Premier League clubs interested in Nicolas Jackson.

Aston Villa and Newcastle United are also linked, and Atletico Madrid and Napoli have shown interest from overseas.

Jackson, who is on loan at Bayern Munich from Chelsea for the 2025/26 season, has had a tough time making his mark. The German club is now seen as “highly unlikely” to trigger the £57m purchase option.

Chelsea appears open to letting Jackson go, which might allow Everton to negotiate a deal for the striker at a lower price.

Beto’s potential departure next month could free up both space and funds, giving Everton a clearer path to acquire Jackson.

Nicolas Jackson’s Premier League career

During his loan at Bayern, Jackson has scored five goals in just 542 minutes, a good record, though it hasn’t been enough to replace Harry Kane in the starting position.

A return to the Premier League seems more probable, and Everton supporters may be optimistic about his previous performance in English football.

In 65 league matches with Chelsea, Jackson scored 24 goals and assisted 10 times, proving to be a reliable forward.

Everton might remember Jackson scoring twice against them—once in a 6-0 loss and again at Stamford Bridge last season.
