Real Madrid is looking for success in the 2025-26 LaLiga season.
The team, known for its achievements in the UEFA Champions League and LaLiga, currently ranks second in the league with 42 points.
Madrid has secured 13 victories and lost only twice, which is among the best loss records in the league.
Additionally, the squad is the second-highest scoring team in LaLiga, netting 36 goals so far this season.
However, they are still four points behind Barcelona, who leads the league.
The upcoming January transfer window could give Real Madrid a chance to enhance their squad while preserving their core players.
One player they might pursue is Kees Smit, which could take him out of Manchester United‘s considerations.
Real Madrid is also looking at another midfielder that United has shown interest in.
According to Spanish source AS, Real Madrid is seeking a midfielder for the future, eyeing Ruben Neves as a possible target.
Former Al-Hilal player Sami Al Jaber noted, “I worry Neves will join Real Madrid for free once his contract ends this season.”
“There are Premier League teams aiming to sign Neves, offering three-year contracts until he turns 31.”
Real Madrid is also keen, and I believe other clubs are interested in Neves too.”
Neves had been linked with United previously, but salary demands were a barrier.
Now, Real Madrid may move forward soon.
