Ayden Heaven is among the Manchester United players eager to make an impact as the 2024-25 season unfolds.
Heaven, who joined the men’s first team last season, previously spent time in Arsenal‘s youth academy. He recently mentioned that his decision to join United over Arsenal was influenced by a game against Rangers in the UEFA Europa League.
However, his time at United has had challenges, including an injury that required him to be carried off during training earlier this year.
Now recovered, the 19-year-old aims to develop further, hoping to catch the eye of Thomas Tuchel and gain a spot on the England senior team, as he prefers this opportunity over playing for Ghana.
Heaven has shared his thoughts on his experience at Manchester United, specifically appreciating manager Ruben Amorim.
In an interview on the official United website, Heaven said, “He’s a brilliant manager. He’s always reassuring me and helping me improve. He’s a great guy off the pitch, and I look forward to continuing to work with him.”
He added, “Knowing that the manager cares about you and takes time to talk with you is very helpful.”
With Heaven’s compliments about Amorim now known, it will be interesting to see if the manager gives the defender more chances in the upcoming matches.
Meanwhile, the media’s response to Ayden Heaven’s comments will also be watched closely.
For now, the 19-year-old plans to keep improving and learning from Amorim and his coaching team in the months ahead.
