Rasmus Hojlund is enjoying success after joining Napoli on loan from Manchester United this summer. His stay in Serie A could become permanent.

The loan deal includes an option to buy for £38 million, and a permanent transfer to the Italian champions looks likely.

In 20 games, Hojlund has netted nine goals, with multiple goals in matches against Sporting CP, Juventus, and Cremonese. He has also provided three assists and helped Napoli win the Supercoppa Italiana.

Hojlund has expressed a desire to improve his Italian, suggesting in an interview that he will conduct more press talks in the language next season.

According to Corriere dello Sport, a contract agreement is reportedly in place, including a release clause effective from 2027.

Napoli is preparing not only to pay his transfer fee to United but also has set aside £74 million (€85 million) for when Hojlund officially joins their squad.

This amount nearly equals what Manchester United spent on him from Atalanta in 2023, although he did not meet expectations while at Old Trafford.

During his two years at United, Hojlund scored 26 goals and provided six assists in 95 matches, averaging 0.38 goal contributions per game. In contrast, he is currently averaging 0.6 goal contributions per game at Napoli.

With Napoli in third place and just two points behind Inter Milan, coach Antonio Conte hopes Hojlund can maintain his form to help defend their Serie A title.
