Yan Diomande is a top player heading into this year’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The Ivory Coast striker has performed well for RB Leipzig this season, scoring seven goals in 16 matches.
This includes a hattrick against Eintracht Frankfurt in early December and three goals along with three assists in just three games in late October and early November.
His strong performances have attracted interest from some of Europe’s top clubs.
Among them is Manchester United, who are reportedly interested in the 19-year-old.
This comes despite United spending over £200 million on new attacking players this summer, including Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, and former Leipzig player Benjamin Sesko.
While Cunha and Mbeumo have done well at United this season, Sesko has not yet lived up to expectations.
United may be eager to pursue Diomande, who is seen as a promising talent for the future at Old Trafford.
According to Set Stafford-Bloor, The Athletic’s German Football correspondent, RB Leipzig has stated they will not sell Diomande in January.
However, they might consider offers in the future, setting a price of £87.3 million for the summer.
If United decide to go for Diomande then, he would join Sesko and Cunha as the third player to have been with both clubs in recent years.
