This evening, Manchester United faced a disappointing draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers, who are at the bottom of the table.
Wolves came to Old Trafford with just two points from 18 games, managing only draws against Tottenham and Brighton, and had yet to win a Premier League match this season.
Manager Ruben Amorim was without key players like Bruno Fernandes, Kobbie Mainoo, Mason Mount, Matthijs de Ligt, and Harry Maguire, all sidelined due to injuries.
Additionally, Noussair Mazraoui, Bryan Mbeumo, and Amad Diallo were unavailable because of international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Despite the injuries, there was hope for a win, given Wolves’ poor performance this season.
However, Joshua Zirkzee scored in the 27th minute, only for Ladislav Krejci to equalize just before halftime.
While many may want to forget this match, it was a significant moment for Bendito Mantato.
The United academy graduate made his debut in the 75th minute, coming on for Manuel Ugarte, who was having a tough game.
Although he played only the last 15 minutes and joined fellow academy player Jack Fletcher, who appeared at halftime after debuting against Aston Villa before Christmas, Mantato showed promise by successfully completing all five of his passes. However, it wasn’t enough to secure a win for United.
Now, Amorim and the team will focus on their upcoming match against Leeds United on January 4th, aiming to improve their position in the league.
