Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner says “everything is possible” in the January transfer window, keeping details about Brennan Johnson and Marc Guehi under wraps.

The Eagles have reportedly finalized a £35 million deal with Tottenham Hotspur to sign Johnson next month, following quick talks between the clubs.

However, the player must first decide on his future, with Bournemouth among the clubs interested in him.

Ahead of the match against Fulham on New Year’s Day, Glasner was asked about his confidence in completing the deal.

“Let’s see what happens,” he said. “Tomorrow begins another busy month in football. I’ve seen many different scenarios before.

“In the next 31 days, anything can happen, as always, and what I say now could change in two days.

“Much of what I say today might be wrong by the end of the transfer window, and that’s why I prefer not to discuss it publicly.

“Everything I say today could be inaccurate. So, it’s best to stay silent and focus on the team ready to play and give everything to win against Fulham.”

Guehi is also linked with a January move, as his contract enters its final six months. He nearly left Selhurst Park last summer when a move to Liverpool fell through.

When asked if Palace is prepared for a similar situation, Glasner replied: “You will keep asking me these questions. I can only give you one answer, and it won’t change unless I have new information.

“Believe me, if I knew anything, I would share it. I don’t know what will happen with Marc [Guehi], new players, or JP [Jean-Philippe Mateta]. I simply don’t have that information.”
