Wayne Rooney impressed by what he observed from Kai Rooney at Man United
Wayne Rooney has commented on his observations of his son Kai during his time at Manchester United‘s youth academy, expressing his support.
Kai has begun his journey at Manchester United, where his father had a significant impact. He joined the club’s youth system in 2020 after transferring from Manchester City‘s academy, coinciding with Wayne’s move to Derby County.
The 16-year-old winger from Liverpool has made two appearances for the Under-18s since joining. Prior to United, Kai was with Manchester City and signed his first contract with United in 2020.
After picking up an early-season injury that sidelined him for a while, Kai made a comeback and scored against Birmingham City Under-18s in the Premier League Cup. He also scored a hat-trick against PSG Under-16s in a friendly tournament.
