Ruben Amorim has stated that Manchester United will not be making new signings in the January transfer window.

Manchester United has been rumored to strengthen the squad this month due to several injuries and the absence of players like Bryan Mbeumo, Noussair Mazraoui, and Amad Diallo for the AFCON tournament.

However, Amorim indicated that new signings are not expected after the club spent over £200 million in the summer.

Currently, Manchester United is sixth in the Premier League and is aiming for a spot in next season’s Champions League. Nonetheless, their performance has been inconsistent, highlighted by a recent draw against Wolves.

Before the upcoming match against Leeds, Amorim mentioned that no players have requested to leave the club, despite rumors surrounding Joshua Zirkzee and Kobbie Mainoo.

“The transfer window is not going to change; we have no discussions about altering the squad,” he said during the pre-match briefing.

“There is a plan in place, and we will stick to it. We are close to the Champions League places but also have several teams behind us, so our focus is on the next game.”

When asked if any of the less-favored players had sought a transfer, Amorim replied, “No, none of them. I don’t expect them to come to me to ask [to leave].”
