Brentford manager Keith Andrews praised Igor Thiago’s ‘sensational’ performance after the forward scored a hat-trick in the team’s victory over Everton.

Thiago netted three goals as Brentford triumphed 4-2 at Hill Dickinson Stadium, continuing his strong start to the season. After dealing with a knee injury during his first year in West London, he has made an impressive comeback.

With 14 goals in the Premier League this season, Thiago trails only Erling Haaland of Manchester City in the scoring charts.

The 24-year-old’s strong form has raised questions about a possible call-up to Brazil for next summer’s World Cup. Andrews noted that Thiago deserves the recognition after his latest performance.

“Strikers thrive on goals and gain confidence from them,” Andrews said to BBC Sport. “He performed excellently today, and he deserves the praise.”

“Consistency is key. The team and the club have made significant progress recently, and they’ve earned the right to play this way.”

“We treat each match with respect, continuing to work hard and pushing each other to improve,” he added. “Today, we showed excellent personality, energy, and spirit at a difficult venue.”
