Chelsea has appointed Liam Rosenior as their new head coach on a long-term contract.

Rosenior, 41, takes over from Enzo Maresca, who departed from Stamford Bridge last week following issues with the club’s management.

In a notable development, Rosenior has signed a five-and-a-half-year contract that runs until the end of the 2032/33 season.

He comes to Chelsea from Strasbourg, where he achieved European qualification for the first time in 19 years last season.

This is only his fourth managerial position since retiring as a player in 2018. He has previously managed Derby County and Hull City.
