Everton is looking for its first win of the new year as they get ready to face Wolves on Wednesday night.

After the last game, Jake O’Brien noted that the squad was quite tired, and this was evident in their performance.

Given these concerns about fatigue, David Moyes may need to adjust his lineup.

As they look ahead to the match at Hill Dickinson Stadium, Chris Sutton shared his prediction, mentioning the situations of Thierno Barry and Beto.

In his BBC Sport column, Chris Sutton made a prediction for the Everton vs. Wolves match and discussed the struggles of Barry and Beto this season.

Sutton mentioned that while Moyes could benefit from new players in the January transfer window, he doesn’t expect Everton to lose two home games in a row.

Despite a loss to Brentford on Sunday, Sutton believes this match presents a great chance for Everton to bounce back.

He pointed out that both Beto and Thierno Barry scored in the same game against Brentford but have been underwhelming overall this season. Sutton expressed hope that one of them might score when it truly matters.

Sutton has predicted a 2-1 win for Everton.

Everton looking for strikers

Everton is considering three strikers: Artem Dovbyk, Jorgen Strand Larsen, and Ivan Toney.

Alan Myers expressed interest in Toney joining the club, although that transfer seems unlikely at this time.

Furthermore, Troy Parrott from AZ Alkmaar is also under consideration, but his £31m price tag complicates things.

After both Barry and Beto found the net against Brentford, there is speculation on whether they can build on that performance. Moyes might rethink his approach due to this possibility.

Currently, it appears Everton is still looking to bring in a new forward before the transfer window closes.
