Manchester United is revamping its team following the unexpected sacking of Ruben Amorim. The club is now reviewing its management and looking for new players to strengthen vital positions.

The summer transfer window is approaching, prompting clubs across Europe to enhance their squads.

Injuries and team dissatisfaction have made several squads vulnerable, presenting opportunities for proactive clubs like United to make key moves.

Younger players are in high demand as clubs seek promising talent that can provide immediate help or grow into valuable long-term assets.

Manchester United is currently focused on hiring a new coach while also scouting players who can align with that coach’s vision for the team.

A notable target is 20-year-old El-Chadaille Bitshiabu, a strong central defender playing for RB Leipzig.

Bitshiabu joined Leipzig in the summer of 2023 but has seen limited game time this season, appearing in just five matches across all competitions.

Monaco, facing long-term injuries to Mohammed Salisu (torn ACL) and Christian Mawissa (hamstring), has reportedly made Bitshiabu a primary target this winter, preferring a loan arrangement without a buy option due to budget constraints.

Lyon is also showing interest as they aim to strengthen their defense.

Although Bitshiabu’s contract with Leipzig runs until June 2029, interest isn’t limited to France.

Reports indicate that Manchester United, along with Bayer Leverkusen, is considering possible loan offers, potentially with a buy option, for Bitshiabu, according to L’Equipe.

For United, this move could be part of a broader strategy to enhance their defense under new management, following Amorim’s exit.

El-Chadaille Bitshiabu, a highly-regarded talent who started his professional career at Paris Saint-Germain, could provide essential depth and competition in the center-back position, fitting the profile of a player United can nurture under a permanent coach expected to be appointed later this summer.

The competition for the young French defender is escalating, and Manchester United appears ready to act quickly if a suitable deal emerges.
