Enzo Maresca says he leaves Chelsea with “inner peace” after his departure on New Year’s Day.
The club and the Italian coach ended their relationship due to differences with the club’s management.
Liam Rosenior was presented as Maresca’s replacement on Tuesday with a contract lasting until 2032.

“LEAVE THIS WORLD A LITTLE BETTER THAN YOU FOUND IT,” Maresca wrote on Instagram.
“My time at Chelsea began with the early stages of the Conference League. I leave with satisfaction, knowing the club is positioned where it should be.
“I thank all the Chelsea supporters for their backing over the past 18 months, which played a vital role in achieving Champions League qualification, winning the Conference League, and lifting the Club World Cup. These victories will always hold a special place in my heart!
“A heartfelt thank you to all the players who joined me on this incredible journey.
“I wish everyone I’ve shared these moments with great success for the rest of the season and in the future.
“Thank you, CHELSEA, from me and my family.”
