An expert highlighted Chelsea’s ongoing trend of dismissing managers regardless of their achievements.

Chelsea’s decision to let go of Enzo Maresca has once again highlighted the club’s swift action regarding managers.

Although Maresca won two trophies in his first season, he became the latest of many coaches to be dismissed soon after achieving success.

Another example of Chelsea’s manager cycle

Football finance expert Kieran Maguire summed up the situation on X, indicating this behavior has become part of Chelsea’s identity.

Maguire’s post gained attention, detailing five managers dismissed by Chelsea after winning multiple trophies.

“Enzo Maresca’s exit marks the fifth time a Premier League manager has been sacked after winning two trophies the previous season,” he noted.

“The others were Jose Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti, Roberto de Matteo, and Mourinho again. All these sackings were by Chelsea.”

This emphasizes a long-standing reputation for the club, where success does not guarantee a manager’s position.

Ongoing changes in Chelsea’s management

Maresca’s departure continues a pattern that has impacted some of football’s top names.

Mourinho was let go twice after winning league titles, Ancelotti was dismissed a year after a double, and De Matteo was removed months after a Champions League victory.

Even with new ownership, the trend persists; success does not ensure job security. Maguire’s comments highlight a club where trophies have long failed to provide stability.

Despite significant investments and managerial changes, Chelsea remains committed to altering course, regardless of recent achievements.
