Tottenham Hotspur head coach Thomas Frank stated he would “never do something that stupid” after he was seen with a coffee cup featuring the Arsenal logo.
Frank was noticed holding a cup with Arsenal’s crest just before Tottenham’s 3-2 loss to Bournemouth on Tuesday night.
This defeat at The Vitality Stadium has heightened the pressure on Frank, who has faced challenges gaining support from Spurs fans since his transfer from Brentford this summer.
Tottenham is currently positioned 14th in the Premier League after suffering their eighth loss of the season due to Antoine Semenyo’s late winner.
The photograph of Frank with the Arsenal cup hasn’t helped his reputation among supporters.
After the match, Frank remarked he “did not notice” the Arsenal branding. He emphasized he would never intentionally “do something that stupid.”
“I definitely did not notice it,” Frank said.
“It would be completely foolish of me to take it if I knew about it.”

“It’s unfortunate that this needs to be addressed in football. I would never do something that foolish.
“We’re definitely heading in the wrong direction if we focus on a cup with another club’s logo.”
