Chelsea has named Liam Rosenior as their new manager, raising hopes about the club’s future.
In the upcoming West London derby, Calum McFarlane will lead the team from the sidelines while Rosenior observes.
Wayne Rooney, who has worked with Rosenior at Derby County, has praised the new manager. The 41-year-old has met the squad and will guide them in the FA Cup match against Charlton.
Since Todd Boehly took over, Chelsea has seen four managers come and go. There is now pressure on this fifth appointment to become a lasting solution.

Rosenior acknowledges that the timing of his appointment is not ideal, but being appointed during a transfer window could be advantageous.
John Terry has urged Boehly and the board to support Rosenior in the transfer window so he can succeed at Stamford Bridge.
“I wish him all the best. He has a chance to come into a new environment. Everyone is going to focus on results,” he commented on TikTok.
“With the January transfer window approaching, hopefully the board will support him financially to bring in new players.”
Reports indicate that Rosenior sought assurances about January transfers during his early talks with Chelsea before taking the role.
Todd Boehly must avoid repeating past market mistakes
Reviewing players signed while Maresca was in charge shows many did not meet expectations, despite some successes.
The signings of Estevao Willian and Joao Pedro were positive notes, but given Chelsea’s Champions League return and Club World Cup win, fans expected more significant support in the summer transfer window.
The management believes that teams should make the most of their current players, but recent results suggest this approach hasn’t been successful.
