Manchester City is interested in signing Brentford right-back Michael Kayode.

Pep Guardiola is looking for a recognized right-back, as midfielder Matheus Nunes has played in that position for much of the season.

Kayode has stood out in a Brentford team that is currently fifth in the Premier League. The club has managed to compete for European spots despite losing key players Bryan Mbeumo, Yoane Wissa, Christian Norgaard, and manager Thomas Frank over the summer.

Kayode has been an important player, with his long throws providing a key advantage. He is also among the best performers in the league for won aerial duels (3rd), successful dribbles (8th), and interceptions (10th).

Interest in Kayode is growing as he is seen as a solution for a key position at the Etihad.

Manchester City is not the only club keen on Kayode, with Bayern Munich, Juventus, and Inter Milan also keeping an eye on him.

However, City reportedly has the most serious interest in the 21-year-old. Brentford acquired Kayode from Fiorentina for £17 million and will seek a significant profit if they decide to sell.
