AZ Alkmaar is looking to sell their star midfielder Kees Smit, who is attracting attention from various clubs across Europe.

According to De Telegraaf, AZ Alkmaar has enlisted super agent Jorge Mendes to help with the transfer of Smit.
Mendes has been informed of the club’s minimum transfer price and is authorized to negotiate on their behalf.
He will collaborate with Forza Sports Group, the agency that represents Kees Smit.
This is a significant development for Smit, who has drawn scouts from top European clubs to watch his games.
The choice to hire Jorge Mendes indicates that AZ is serious about the transfer, as Mendes has been involved in many major football deals, including those for Cristiano Ronaldo.
In addition to negotiating nearly £200 million from Ronaldo’s transfers, Mendes has facilitated other transfers involving Manchester United, such as Angel Di Maria’s move from Real Madrid, as well as the signings of David de Gea, Nani, and Anderson.
Mendes has also played a key role in Manchester City’s successes, helping with the acquisitions of Bernardo Silva, Ederson, Joao Cancelo, and Ruben Dias.
