Bukayo Saka is nearing a new contract with Arsenal.
The winger has been in talks for several months, as he has under two years left on his current deal.
Recent reports from David Ornstein indicate that Saka and Arsenal have reached an agreement on a contract that will last until 2031.
This is good news, but Andrea Berta is still planning ahead. The Sporting Director has more moves in mind for the club’s future.

Berta has made a strong impact since he took on the role of sporting director at Arsenal.
The Italian arrived with high hopes after succeeding Edu Gaspar last year, and he has fulfilled those expectations.
He signed eight new players during the summer transfer window and played a key role in securing extensions for Gabriel Magalhaes, Myles Lewis-Skelly, Ethan Nwaneri, and William Saliba.
Saka’s contract is almost finalized, pending an official announcement. Following this, The Athletic reports that three additional players are expected to negotiate new deals. Jurrien Timber is already in discussions for a contract extension after performing well over the past year and a half.
The other two players linked with new contracts are Declan Rice and Kai Havertz, indicating Berta’s ongoing efforts to shape Arsenal’s future.
Arsenal faces three key contract extensions to address
Berta is right to focus on Timber, Rice, and Havertz now that Saka’s deal is complete.
After those contracts are taken care of, he will need to turn his attention elsewhere.
Gabriel Martinelli will soon enter the final year of his deal. To avoid losing him in 2027, Arsenal needs to decide on his future.
Additionally, David Raya and Martin Odegaard will have two years remaining starting in July, which will also need evaluation.
While a sale for Martinelli seems probable this summer, extending contracts for Raya and Odegaard would be a wise choice for Arsenal.
