While not coaching, Carrick has kept active by appearing as a pundit.

Recently, he discussed Amorim’s team during their short winning streak, which included victories over Sunderland, Liverpool, and Brighton.

He pointed out three standout players: Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, and Bruno Fernandes.

“I’m smiling because as a footballer, when you connect with someone, you play off instinct,” Carrick said. “You enjoy the game together, and it seems like they’ve found that bond, with two of them joining in the summer and Bruno already being there.”

“It’s not just about them three, but there’s something exciting about their style of play.”

Focus on Rebuilding Team Chemistry

One of Carrick’s main goals is to revive the connection he saw between Cunha, Mbeumo, and Fernandes, a trio that showed great potential.

Mbeumo is back after Cameroon was eliminated from AFCON and may return for the Manchester derby.

Injuries and absences have hindered the development of the partnership between him and Cunha this season.

Before Mbeumo went on international duty, they had only shared 56 percent of United’s minutes together, and that number has decreased since.

While Carrick may finally have them both fit, he faces a broader challenge: integrating all of United’s attacking players into the lineup.

In addition to Cunha, Mbeumo, and Fernandes, there are Amad Diallo, Benjamin Sesko, and Mason Mount to consider. Balancing playing time among them will be a complex task.
